We are delighted to welcome longtime friends of the CCHK, pianist Ryan McCullough and vocalist Lucy Fitz Gibbon, back to campus for what is sure to be an enriching, thought-provoking, and ever-musical salon on Friday, December 2. The program title is “Avec tant d’harmonie: Songs of Fauré, Debussy, and Maddison,” and as usual will take place at 5:00PM at the historic A. D. White House.
Looking ahead to the event, we have some wonderful news to share. Ryan and Lucy have recently released the labor of forgetting, the inaugural album recorded on False Azure Records. Two of the CCHK’s instruments can be heard on the record (one of them tuned by Cornell’s longtime technician Ken Walkup to a special invented tuning for one of the works), and a trailer for the album can be viewed below.
